Not serious: Esophageal dysmotility in a young healthy individual is usually not indicative of any serious illness. It may cause chest discomfort sometimes or cause difficulty swallowing periodically. So it all depends upon your symptoms and why barium swallow exam was done in the first place.

Consult physician: There are all kinds of dysmotility varying from severe with aspiration into the lungs and minor with subtle movement disorder. You should ask physician who ordered test whether follow up testing is required. Some dysmotility is self limited while other kinds can be progressive.
