Yes: A person must successfully complete medical school in order to become a physician. After 3 or more years of additional training in pediatrics, he or she can apply for membership to the aap.

Yes and....: Actually either graduating medical or osteopathic school and the completion of a certified pediatric residency makes one eligible for membership in the aap.

Yes: Pediatricians must get a college degree, a medical school degree, and then must complete at least 3 years of training in pediatrics. They cannot be fellows in the academy if they have not completed that training.

Yes and Pediatric tr: Not only completion of Medical School but 3 years of residency and then passing the exam for Certification. Only then you are eligible to be a Fellow
