How long does it take to recover from an eye surgery?

It depends: This depends on the type of eye surgery and your underlying conditions. Uncomplicated cataract and lasik surgery generally has very rapid visual recovery, but this may depend on other pre-existing conditions and co-morbidities.

Pretty quickly: Depending on the surgery, there is little down time. With lasik or cataract surgery, vision is usually stable within 1 week, although it can vary depending on how large the prescription or cataract was before surgery. As well, you can get back to nearly all your activities within a day or so. Other surgeries (retinal or glaucoma) can take longer to recover.
