Are dental bridges common?

Yes: They are common but not as common as before. More and more people are doing implants now which replace teeth without cutting or shaving other teeth. Implants are also easier to floss.

Yes: Fixed dental bridges are common, but implants are becoming more common as the price has gone down and more people have them and are comfortable with them.

They are..: ... but nowadays, more and more patients opt for dental implants rather than bridges to replace missing teeth. Have your dentist explain what is best for your situation.

Less than before: Implants are the dentistry of choice these days, depending on the health of the bone. There are still plenty of dentures out there being made...listen to options.

Yes: Less common today due to the availability and extreme success of dental implants. All else equal, the implant is the best long-term treatment by far. However, there are instances where the fixed bridge (fixed partial denture) is appropriate. Remember, the teeth supporting the bridge are subject to decay and periodontal disease and the average life expectancy is 8-10 years, though we expect longer.

Dental bridge: Yes, but so are dental implants and partial dentures. Talk to your dentist and figure out what treatment option is right for you. If you have large fillings on the teeth next to a missing tooth then a bridge might be a great option for you. If you have adjacent teeth without any fillings, then an implant might be the best treatment option if you have plenty of bone for implant placement.

Not much anymore: The best treatment option is to replace what it's missing... In other words placement of implants and have no teeth connected to each other ( easy to clean), But when implants are not an option, bridges are the solution
