A member asked:

What is the average weight gain during pregnancy if allowed to eat anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends upon you BMI: You acceptable and healthy weight gain during pregnancy is determined by your body mass index (bmi) at the start of your pregnancy. It may be as little as 15 pounds if you are very overweightt or as high as 30 pounds if your bmi is more in the normal range. Ask you OB for specifics.
