How do you handle someone who has fibromyalgia and is addicted to pills?

Very difficult: This would be a very difficult situation, which needs specialized treatment at a pain center. Depending on the substance the person is addicted to (opiates? Benzos?) there would be need to look at stopping those and finding other methods for controlling pain. Inpatient detox and rehab might well be needed.
