Many antibiotics: Proteus mirabilis is generally quite sensitive to antibiotics commonly used for gram negative infections such as cephalosporins, quinolones, septra, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) many penicillins etc. Some multiply resistant strains exist so sensitivity tests are done by the microbiology lab.
