Time and tenderness: "the ulnar nerve is often damaged when a contusion happens to the elbow. This is termed as a neuropraxia. It often takes four to six months for the nerve to heal. As long is the problem is not worsening, time and tenderness is the treatment. Do not bump it again, use the arm in a gentle fashion.
