Temporal pain.: Pain in the temporal area can be due to temporal arteritis which is an inflammation of the temporal artery and could lead to blindness if not diagnosed and treated. The diagnosis is made by biopsy of the temporal artery. It is unusual for the temporal vein to cause pain. See your PMD for an eval and possible referral for biopsy is indicated.
