A member asked:

How do scientist grow stem cells in laboratories?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's complicated: Over the past half century, scientists have learned to grow many types of cells, by providing them with the most favorable temperatures, the proper mix of chemicals in the broth, the use of techniques to prevent contamination, etc... Scientists have also spent years learning how to find the stem cells, to separate them from other cells, and then to make them start reproducing.
