My wife broke out in a rash (face primarily) when she took nyquil. it is like a sunburn. no other symptoms...should she seek emergency treatment?

Likely an allergy: Based on the description you give i would think this is an allergic reaction to one of the components in nyquil. The various nyquil products contain any one or more of about 7 different medicines so it may be a challenge figuring out what caused the reaction. You and your wife are the best judge of whether she should be seen now. If this does not start to improve then you should be seen soon.
