If i get toxoplasmosis, will it definitely have an impact on my baby?

No: Congenital toxoplasmosis infections are rare. Even if you were to develop an acute infection, the chances of it causing a problem in the baby is rare.

Not definitely: Untreated women who acquired infection in 1st trimester in 10-25% had congenital infections in their babies. In the 2nd trimester its 30-54%. In the 3rd trimester its 60-65%. Infant disease is more severe if toxoplasmosis is acquired by the mother in the 1st or 2nd trimesters. Most infants born of mothers infected in the 3rd trimester have subclinical infection but still need treatment.
