Several: Get a medical exam first. If not due to anxiety, depression, or physical problems, sleep hygiene practices can help. Slow activities down hours before bed; avoid stimulants like caffeine, nicotine and alcohol; don't get caught up in stimulating thoughts while in bed; make sure the room is comfortable; & perhaps do a body scan up and down from head to toe.
