Implant side effects: Like any surgery, dental implant surgery poses some health risks. Problems are rare and they're usually minor and easily treated. Side effects are swelling, soreness and bruising. The side effects of dental implant surgery rarely persist longer than two weeks.

Yes: Any surgery has side effects. Dental implant surgery is no different. Side effects can include pain, swelling, bruising, redness, bleeding, and infection. Fortunately, if performed by a well trained implant surgeon, these 'side effects' are greatly diminished and frequently non-existent. Keep smiling !
