A member asked:

Is it safe to soak my contact lens using a contact lens lubricant instead of a contact lens solution?

No: A lens lubricant simply rehydrates - it does not address disinfection and lacks the cleaning properties of a true lens cleaning and soaking agent.

Not really: The contact lens solution should contain some chemicals to kill bacteria and fungus, otherwise you will be growing these organisms on your contact lenses at night. You do not want to have a corneal ulcer.
