A member asked:

How safe is it to use lubricant? does it cause infection in anyway?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Completely safe: If you're talking about vaginal lubricants, they are very safe and have no association with causing infections. That said, they do nothing to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV - that requires using male or female condoms.
