Not as much as : Staying morbidly obese. Once the weight is gone and excess skin remains, consider outpatient body lift surgery (about $17000 as outpatient--total); can be double that as inpatient. Also factor in the cost for thigh lift, breast lift, brachioplasty, and possible facelift surgery, since loose skin cannot be tightened except with skilled plastic surgery.
