See a dentist ASAP: If a tooth is infected or even abscessed, you need have it checked by a dentist as soon as possible. In some cases, the dentist might just give you some antibiotic pills or rinse to control the infection first and treat it later with root canel or extraction. In other cases, the dentist may need intervene immediately by doing a extraction or incision & drainage to open the pathway for the pus.

Home Abscess Remedy: The best home remedy for a dental abscess is the phone book. If the abscess is draining, you will have less pain but still have the problem. If there is no drainage the pain from the pressure in the abscess will force you to seek help. Best thing to do is see a dentist and either save the tooth with a root canal, build-up and crown or extract it. There is no other choice!
