Birth weight?: <1500 gm., higher risk of executive function deficits, adhd, learning disabilities & autism, difficulty with visual-motor tasks, lower social skills. If < 1000 gm, 25% have major disabilities - cp, intellectual disability, hearing & vision impairment. Poorer outcomes with ivh, pvl , sepsis, & persistent apnea & bradycardia. Poor coordination, adhd, sld, autism increase as birthweight decreases.
