Can you describe how much does a newborn sleep?

Sleep - newborn: During the first month, you baby's interest is sleep - waking up only when hungry, when dirty or wet, when bored and when in pain. So in a 24-hour timeframe, s/he may sleep as much as 16 hours

16-20 hr: Infants up to 3 months sleep for 16 to 20 hours. The amount of daytime sleep equals to that of nighttime sleep.

A lot : It is the job of a newborn to sleep, eat poop and pee. If baby is growing and doing well their sleep is probably fine, most newborns usually sleep about 16 hours a day.
