NEWBORN SLEEP: All babies are not alike.New born babies sleep more and they get up frequently to feed, as they need to be fed more often, and there is no sleep pattern till they are 6 months old.All newborn will wake up anytime of day or night when they are hungry. So they sleep, poop and get their feedings, they wake up to be fed, for their survival as you know they double their birth weight by age of 5 month.

Possibly: A baby should have wakeful periods between feeds that increase as baby gets older. If you have to wake baby up to feed, even after 4 hours, there may time for concern.
