Vitamin E : Continue to place vitamin E oil on her upper lip. This will help soften the scar and and improve function. Additionally, if the scar is prominent after 6 months, then you may want to see a cosmetic surgeon to see if a scar revision is warranted.

Massage : Once the area has healed and stitches are removed , massaging the area gently with vaseline or aquaphor a few times a day could help.
