Pain Control: The key to managing daytime symptoms is nonsedating pain control. For most patients toradol (ketorolac) is an appropriate option. It comes in pill form and can be taken every 6hrs as needed. Consider urine screen for urinary tract infection. If infection is also present, antibiotic treatment is warranted and can provide symptom improvement.
