Consistent am/pm ok: Am or pm , when you take consistently take around almost same time , irrespective of morning or evening. But don't take them as supplemets for long periods, then your body's natural capacity to derive from natural sources like food, sunlight ecetera will not be done without proper stimulation/demand .Unless your doctor/specialist recommends continuos supplemetnts, give breaks. Take maximum fo 3-6 m.

Depends : That decision should be based on what you're taking and eating at that time. Calcium containing vitamins, including multivitamin tablets, should be taken apart from a meal, particularly a dairy or high calcium meal. My basic advice is that it is probably a waste to take a supplement that is present in high levels in the meal you're eating, also, it is acceptable to substitute a food for a vitamin.
