A member asked:

What is the difference between an athlete who gone through puberty and one who haven't? who has the advantage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: The acquisition of muscle mass in puberty will allow some athletes more power & improve performance in activities that need them.Yet some sports like gymnastics rely more on form, rhythm & technique , making muscle mass less important & the associated linear growth may make them more difficult.
