Typically normal: Sounds like you're describing premature beats, which occur in almost everyone. With that said, because you're a 75 year old male, you should see your doctor for a heart evaluation. Heart disease becomes much more common as we get older and despite the "skipped beats" likely being normal, heart disease can sometimes cause them. If they're infrequent, and no heart disease, than shouldn't worry.
