Hormone effect: The hormones of lactation tend to suppress the progestational hormones of the usual cycle. The uterus remains healty though, ready to accept a fertilized egg should it happen along. You may be having atypical menstrual symptoms without an actual period. Or you may be pregnant. Check a home pregnancy test to be sure.
