Technology : Materials/equipment have improved. Lasers are used for both hard tooth & soft oral tissue. Digital x-rays use much less radiation replacing film, with all it's associated polluting chemicals. 3d cone-beam tomography replaced much higher radiation dose ct scans for implant, sinus, tmj, root canal, ortho surgery planning. Digital imaging & cad/cam aid precision & speed of all porcelain restorations.
