A member asked:

Why is teenage pregnancy more common than it used to be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Teen pregnancy rates: Have been declining for the past twenty years, and the U.S. Teen birth rate was the lowest ever in 2010 (last data available). But the U.S. Rate is one of the highest among industrialized nations. Comprehensive sex education and easily available effective birth control lowers teen pregnancy rates. Abstinence-only programs do not work.
