Annual is best.: Many guidelines are recommended (sadly recommends less frequent that annual pap to avoid overtreatment). If you can afford (and prevent overtreatment), annual pap is the best with precaution not to interfere for ascus and lower grade lesions without compelling clinical reason.

Varies.: Talk with your doctor. The frequency of pap smears will depend on your age and medical history (history of abnormal pap, etc). Screening with a pap smear should begin at age 21.
