Maybe: First, try to identify the allergen which is causing the allergic reaction. Wash the eyelids daily with warm water to flush debris away then try an over the counter antihistamine such as zaditor (ketotifen) to see if that stops the itching - works in the majority of cases.

Irritant: Remove irritant, lubricate, try over the counter or prescription antihistamines and mast cell stabilizers. Treat the systemic allergies, avoid environmental exacerbating factors.
