PCN & take your meds: If you were tested and are sure it is streptococcus causing your throat problems, the best medicine is still penicillin or one very similar, such as amoxicillin. As important, though, is taking your medicine on time. Strep dies when the medicine in your system is above a certain level, so if you don't take your meds on time the strep can start to party again and multiply. Make sure you finish it!
