What light bulb is best for reading for people with macular degeneration?

Not sure: You have to try different bulbs and see what works best for you. What is certain is that patients with macular degeneration need more/brighter light for reading.

Bright!: Macular degeneration patients require a great deal of light to read. The reading speed in even mild macular degeneration can be significantly impaired. I recommend using as much light as possible. There is some trial and error as some patients prefer a particular light spectrum. Daylight spectrum light is best.
