6 - 14 months: Typically girls teeth come in faster than boys. Be sure you are not kissing your kids on the lips. They are not born with the bacteria that causes cavities. It is tranmitted to them from adults.

Baby teeth: Small # of children have 1 or more baby teeth erupted at birth. Small number do not begin to teethe until 18 months. Mostly eruption starts between 6-12 months, earlier in girls, later in boys. ALL children should see a Pediatric Children's Dental Specialist, a Pedodontist, when 1st baby tooth erupts, but no later than 1st b'day.
