Heartburn,waterbrash: Heartburn-most common symptom, retrosternal chest pain mimicking angina , waterbrash like regurgitation of acid contents into mouth from stomach because of acid and food contents coming from a lax sphincter between end of esophagus and stomach. Patient can have hoarseness of voice if the acid regurgitates into larynx and irritates vocal cords, wheexing when the acid. Contents aspirated into lungs.

Many...: Subtle symptoms of acid reflux include frequent throat clearing, sensation of something stuck in the throat, dry cough, voice changes, postnasal drip, and mucus in the throat. Less subtle symptoms obviously include heartburn or indigestion pain, or even brash (stomach contents reaching the back of the throat).
