A member asked:

What to do when baby is constipated and what do you feed it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The ideal thing...: ...To feed a baby is breast milk. What you do about constipation depends largely on the age of the baby and what is already in the baby's diet. Foods like rice, cow's milk, cheese, apple sauce, can be quite binding, so if it's an older baby, reduce constipating foods. If it's a younger baby (under 6 months), best to speak with your doctor.
