Can one use triamcinolone acetonide cream on a ringworm?

Helps with itching: Triamcinolone=steroid is sometime combined with antifungal cream to help with severe itching/irritation (inflammation). Steroid itself does not treat the ringworm. Lamisil, lotrimin, or tinactin (tolnaftate) are available otc and are often adequate to treat commom skin fungal/ringworm infections on skin (not beard/scalp areas). If not better in about 2 wks, consult doc for proper diagnosis/treatment. Good luck.
