Can osteopenia cause your bones to ache?

Osteopenia: Osteopenia is generally a condition that people do not even know they have. So no pain. Would see physician and look for other causes.

Osteopenia=no pain: Thinning of the bone by itself--see pic--should not cause bone pain/aching. Thinning makes the bone more brittle and easier to break with trauma such as falling, hence the need to treat/prevent osteoporosis/osteopenia. So without it being broken, you should not have pain from osteopenia. If you are experiencing pain, please consult doc for eval. Good luck.
