Floater removal: Most patients develop floaters at some point in their life. Over time your brain ignores them and they do not block vision. Due to this, there is nothing to do to remove them. In rare cases, floaters can be significant enough to block vision. In these rare cases, the floaters can be removed by a retina specialist by a surgery inside the eye (vitrectomy).

Surgery: Floaters are collagen fibers in the vitreous cavity ( jelly part of the eye). They do not cause damage to the eye but sometimes block the images we see from reaching the retina. Usually they are only mildly annoying. If they interfere with a persons ability to see there is an operation available (vitrectomy) to remove them.

Floaters: Floaters can't be removed. Most people start to ignore them after awhile and pay less attention to them. Gravity can eventually pull them out of our center of attention so they bother us less.
