What is the connection between low blood sugar and tonsillectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eating/drinking: From a practical perspective, particularly in a young child, thin person, or someone with diabetes on antidiabetic drugs, being unable to eat or drink following a tonsillectomy could potentially cause low blood sugar. I don't know of any other connection, but would welcome input from any of the other forum members who do.
