Stretch injury: A truly "pulled" nerve is one which is physically elongated beyond anatomic tolerance. This damage cannot be fixed by external means. It has to be healed by the body, which may not occur depending on the degree & speed of the stretch plus other factors, including spinal disorders, exercise and other comorbidities. Healing occurs at 1 mm per day, meaning very slowly.
