Prescription: See your doctor to see if you are a candidate for medical therapy with something like actigall (ursodiol). Medications can take a few years to dissolve gallstones, does not work well for larger stones, and it does not work at all for calcified gallstones. Gallstones can also grow back unless you have surgery to remove the gallbladder & gallstones.
