That depends...: I have seen CF patients carry pregnancy to full term. The risk is the same as for anyone with impaired lung function and/or malnutrition (very common problems in CF patients). You should discuss pregnancy with your CF provider, usually a lung doctor, and maybe also a specialist in high risk ob. They can discuss the the risks of pregnancy based on your specific health status. Good luck.

Depends on severity: Risks associated with pregnancy in CF patients are related to the severity of their lung disease, nutritional status & other conditions such as CF related diabetes. Please consult your CF doctor & ob/gyn doctor to discuss these risks. Many women can have babies even if they have cf, so it all depends on the individual factors & has to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
