No: Sounds like carpel tunnel symptoms. Wear wrist guards at night. Minimize repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, sewing, etc.

No: Carpal tunnel syndrome is very common due to the swelling of the hands during pregnancy. The nerve compression is what gives you that feeling. It's annoying but will resolve sometime after the baby is born. Severe numbness or loss of function may indicate that the nerves are suffering damage and may require "release" which is a surgical procedure.
