Does your chest feel tight when you have copd?

Maybe: Approximately 20 to 25 percent of COPD patients can also have asthma. Chest tightness is more common with asthma than COPD but both diseases can occur together. Most COPD patients tend to have shortness of breath, chronic cough and are either active or former smokers.

Possibly...: Bronchospasm can be present in a person who has COPD and this can cause the sensation you are describing. If you feel short of breath, you should see a doctor emergently for diagnosis and treatment as this can be life-threatening!
