Sad, but true. : Fed and state authorities and consequently medical societies have responded to the epidemic of narcotic related overdoses by strictly regulating the prescription of narcotics. This has indeed caused some docs and even entire clinics to stop prescribing narcotics to avoid the extra work associated with prescribing.
