Could be!: Craniosynostosis - term for premature fusion of suture... This condition can restrict head circumference growth! usually a visit to a neurosurgeon can explain the need for close observation or surgical intervention ! best of luck to you.

Depends: The soft spot can vary in size from almost nothing to the diameter of an orange.It can get a little bigger after early growth or be fairly undetectable,ever.It is what happens with the rest of the skull that matters.If the head is growing normally, and you do not feel a steeple like ridge as the skull lines come together, it is normal.
