A member asked:

How long is recovery after having a disk removed and how often should the bandage be replaced?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends on many factors, size of incision, amount of bony work that is needed. In general most patients can be done on an out patient or overnight stay basis. The wounds heal quickly within the first 2 weeks. Dressing changes are dictated by the type wound closure your surgeon does and size of wound.
