Sleep walking: Sleep walking is neither a nightmare or a night terror. Night terrors generally occur in young children where they act terrified, screaming but do not respond and are not awake. Night mares are bad dreams that you remember when you wake up. Sleep walking is walking in your sleep. Eyes might be open but not awake which is why it's not remembered.

Night terrors: Nightmares occur during rem sleep and can be remembered. Night terrors are not remembered. Make sure your environment is safe, so that you don't get injured while sleepwalking. Although you may sound extremely upset, no one needs to try to wake you up.
