Over the last two weeks several large lumps have appeared on my neck. they are raised maybe 1/4 in tall and an inch wide. what could be the cause?

You need to see ENT: Go to see an ear nose and throat ( ent)doctor for a. Complete history taking and a careful examination. Possible causes vary from viral infextion vs malignancy of the lymphatic organ like lymphoma ( hodgkin's/ non hodgkin''s) vs other reactive process to condition located at the mouth or throat. Ultimately, a core biopsy of one of those lymph nodes would likely be needed to establish a dx.
